Hello,
I found this caterpill ar at night, feeding on a mango tree.



From the front it looks like two eyes are staring at you, whereas the real head of the caterpill ar is below.



The cocoon for pupation is a semispher e on the surface of a leaf with about 15 mm diameter.



Pupation took 28 days, then the moth emerged.



I think this is Parasa lepida

    Excellent post ! We have the Thai name for this insect "ผีเสื้อหนอนบุ้งเขียวหวาน". It is one of the most important insect pests. It is alos very poisonous insect.
