         Siam Insect Zoo & Museum (SIZ), or currently revised name “Siam Insect Museum” has been selected by the National Discovery Museum Institute (NDMI) as an outstanding discovery museum knowledge model for the north of Thailand in 2011.  We will continue working hard and sharing more our knowledge on insects gained from experiences and activities.          พิพิธภัณฑ์สวนสัตว์แมลงสยาม หรือในชื่อจดทะเบียนใหม่ “พิพิธภัณฑ์แมลงสยาม” ได้รับการคัดเลือกจากสถาบันพิพิธภัณฑ์การเรียนรู้แห่งชาติ (สพร.) ให้เป็นพิพิธภัณฑ์ต้นแบบของภาคเหนือในปี พ.ศ. 2554  พวกเราจะทำงานหนักนี้ต่อไป และพร้อมที่จะแบ่งปันความรู้ความก้าวหน้าที่ได้จากประสบการณ์และการปฏิบัติงาน ขอเชิญแวะชมได้ครับ

Indication boards to Siam Insect Zoo at 2.5km, 2km & 400m
ป้ายบอกทางมีค่อนข้างจำกัด ต้องคอยมองให้ดีนะครับอาจขับเลยไปได้ง่าย ขาเข้าจากแม่ริมไปสะเมิง สวนสัตว์แมลงสยามจะอยู่ในซอยขวามือ ปากทางเข้าซอยเป็นทางโค้งออกและเป็นที่ตั้งของโรงเรียนลิง เข้าซอยตรงนี้นะครับ สำหรับป้ายรูปด้วง (ข้างบน) ติดตั้งอยู่ตรงกันข้ามกับปั้มน้ำมัน พี.ที. ซึ่งอยู่ขวามือ ถ้าเห็นป้ายนี้แสดงว่าใกล้ถึงแล้ว ให้มองหาซอยทางเข้าขวามือไว้ได้แล้วครับ

อยู่ในซอยน้ำตกแม่สา 6 (120 เมตรจากปากทาง ซึ่งเป็นที่ตั้งของโรงเรียนลิง โชว์ลิง)
ถนนสายแม่ริม-สะเมิง กม.4+ ก่อนถึงน้ำตกแม่สา 2 กิโลเมตร
สำหรับขาเข้า ปากทางเข้าซอยอยู่ขวามือ ห่างจากปั๊มน้ำมัน ปตท. (อยู่ขวามือเหมือนกัน) 400 เมตร บริเวณปากทางเข้าซอยเข้าสู่สวนสัตว์แมลงสยามเป็นทางโค้งพอดี กรุณาชะลอรถเพิ่มดูป้ายขวามือ ก่อนจะขับรถเลยไปครับ 

คำแนะนำสำหรับคนขับรถ
      รถตู้ รถปิ๊คอัพ รถเก่ง สามารถนำรถเข้าจอดได้ถึงหน้าอาคารพิพิธภัณฑ์แมลงได้ แต่สำหรับรถบัสใหญ่ขอแนะนำให้จอดรถที่ปากทางเข้าที่บริเวณโรงเรียนลิงแล้วเดินเท้าเข้าไปประมาณ 120 เมตรเท่านั้น จะสะดวกกว่า เนื่องจากไหล่ทางชันไปหน่อยสำหรับรถบัสใหญ่อาจจะออกตัวจากซอยไม่สะดวก แต่มีรถตู้ รถเก๋ง และรถบัสขนาดกลางเข้าออกได้ตามปรกติครับ

สวนสัตว์แมลงสยามมีเครื่องดื่ม น้ำขวด น้ำส้ม น้ำอัดลม กาแฟ ไอศครีม และมีของชำร่วยที่น่ารักเกี่ยวกับแมลง ตลอดจนหนังสือที่จัดพิมพ์ขึ้นเองโดยสวนสัตว์แมลงสยามเกี่ยวกับด้วง คู่การเลี้ยงด้วง คู่มือการเลี้ยงผีเสื้อ แมลงปอ โรคและแมลงของพืชเศรษฐกิจที่สำคัญและแมลงต่างๆ จำหน่าย เหมาะสำหรับเด็กๆ และผู้ที่สนใจของฝากเฉพาะทาง ราคากันเอง

SIZ is located about 20 km away from Chiang Mai Airport or 2 km before Mae Sa Waterfall, on Mae Rim-Samoeng Road km 4+ (120 m from the entrance of Mae Sa Waterfall Soi 6, or Soi Monkey School).
