The egg predaceous bug is an important predator of brown planthoppers in rice field. It can destroy either eggs or various instars of nymphs and adults. Each female and male can destroy in average 403 and 232 eggs, respectively.
มวนเขียวดูดไข่ เป็นมวนตัวห้ำจัดอยู่ในวงศ์มวนหญ้า Miridae ที่มีความสำคัญมากของเพลี้ยกระโดดสีน้ำตาลในนาข้าว สามารถทำลายเหยื่อทั้งระยะไข่ และตัวอ่อน จนถึงตัวเต็มวัย เพศเมียและเพศผู้สามารถทำลายไข่เพลี้ยกระโดดสีน้ำตาลได้เฉลี่ย 403 และ 232 ฟองตามลำดับ
