According to Barlow H.S., 1982 An Introduction to the moths of South East Asia. The moths in this strange family, with only one genus containing two species recorded from South East Asia. The larvae resemble those of silkworm moths, but differ in the early stage. It is interesting to note that they feed on many kinds of food-plants and pupate on the ground. Range: N. India to China and Japan, south to Malaysia, Java, the Philippines and Sulawesi.
