Paralebada plagifera (Walker, 1855)

Wingspan: Male 47-65 mm, Female 88-98 mm. In FW the inner border of medial loop smooth, without projections or separated spots; tornal spot reduced or very small; coloration cotrasting, a bright silvery blue apical dusting is typical, ground color varies from sandy-brown to dark brownish-gray. A female photos were taken from Wiang Pa Pao on 2 September 2006. The larvae are hairy with cryptic pattern and bright colored thoracic bands. หนอนชักไยสีตาลตัดใหญ่ เป็นผีเสื้อขนาดกลางถึงขนาดใหญ่ ลำตัวค่อนข้างอ้วน และมีขนปกคลุมหนาแน่น ปีกกว้าง ปลายปีกหน้าแหลม ขอบหน้าของปีกคู่หลัง มักพองยื่นไปข้างหน้า บริเวณนั้นมีเส้นปีกสั้นๆ พยุงอยู่หลายเส้น หนวดมีส่วนโคนเป็นแบบฟันหวี ปลายเรียวเล็ก ผีเสื้อในวงศ์นี้วางไข่เป็นกลุ่มติดอยู่ตามกิ่งไม้ หนอนมีขนปกคลุมหนาแน่น และสีสดสะดุดตา กินพืชอาหารได้หลายชนิดรวมทั้งส้มและโกโก้ ภาพตัวเต็มวัยได้จากเวียงป่าเป้า เชียงราย เมื่อ 2 กันยายน พ.ศ. 2549 ส่วนภาพเพศผู้ และเพศเมียถ่ายในlab จาก Zolotuhin & Piratana (2005)
