Whipscorpions known from Thailand including Myanmar and Cambodia แมงป่องแส้ที่รู้จักจากประเทศไทยรวมถึงพม่า และกัมพูชา

Class Arachnida (arachnids) 
       The whipscorpions have a life pattern similar to the true scorpions, but they do not possess a poisonous sting. Almost 30 species or more are known in Thailand including Myanmar and Cambodia in 3 orders, Uropygi, Amblypygi and Schizomida. However, the study of whipscorpions is rather poor and we do not have any specific local Thai names yet.
        แมงป่องแส้ เป็นสัตว์ที่มีขาเป็นข้อปล้อง เป็นพวกแมง มีขา 4 คู่ แต่ขาคู่หน้ามีลักษณะยาวคล้ายแส้ ไม่มีอวัยวะในการต่อย จึงเป็นสัตว์ที่ไม่มีพิษ ลักษณะของหางช่วยในการจัดแบ่งแมงป่องแส้ออกเป็นสามอันดับคืออันดับที่มีหางยาวเป็นเส้นเรียวยาว อันดับที่ไม่มีหาง และอันดับที่มีหางสั้น ชนิดที่รู้จักและพบในไทย รวมถึงพม่าและกัมพูชา มีประมาณ 30 ชนิดหรือมากกว่า ดังรายชื่อที่ปรากฏด้านล่างนี้
